Surah Al Adiyat With English Translations

وَ الْعٰدِیٰتِ ضَبْحًا(1)

By the snorting chargers, (1)

فَالْمُوْرِیٰتِ قَدْحًا(2)

And the strikers [of fire] with their hooves, (2)

فَالْمُغِیْرٰتِ صُبْحًا(3)

And the raiders at dawn, (3)

فَاَثَرْنَ بِهٖ نَقْعًا(4)

Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, (4)

فَوَسَطْنَ بِهٖ جَمْعًا(5)

Penetrating thereby into the midst of a host. (5)

اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لِرَبِّهٖ لَكَنُوْدٌ(6)

Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. (6)

وَ اِنَّهٗ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ لَشَهِیْدٌ(7)

And indeed he, to that, is a witness. (7)

وَ اِنَّهٗ لِحُبِّ الْخَیْرِ لَشَدِیْدٌﭤ(8)

And indeed he is severe in [his] love of good. (8)

اَفَلَا یَعْلَمُ اِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِی الْقُبُوْرِ(9)

But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered, (9)

وَ حُصِّلَ مَا فِی الصُّدُوْرِ(10)

And what is in the breasts is made known, (10)

اِنَّ رَبَّهُمْ بِهِمْ یَوْمَىٕذٍ لَّخَبِیْرٌ(11)

Indeed their Lord, that Day, will be fully acquainted with them. (11)
