Surah Al Humazah With English Translations

وَیْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةِ ﹰ(1)

Woe to every scorner and mocker (1)

الَّذِیْ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّ عَدَّدَهٗ(2)

Who has collected wealth and counted it. (2)

یَحْسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهٗۤ اَخْلَدَهٗ(3)

He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. (3)

كَلَّا لَیُنْۢبَذَنَّ فِی الْحُطَمَةِ(4)

No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. (4)

وَ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُﭤ(5)

And what can make you know what is the Crusher? (5)

نَارُ اللّٰهِ الْمُوْقَدَةُ(6)

It is the fire of Allah, [fiercely] kindled, (6)

الَّتِیْ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْاَفْـٕدَةِﭤ(7)

Which mounts directed at the hearts. (7)

اِنَّهَا عَلَیْهِمْ مُّؤْصَدَةٌ(8)

Indeed, it [Hellfire] will be closed down upon them (8)

فِیْ عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ(9)
