Surah Al Infitar With English Translations

اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْفَطَرَتْ(1)

When the sky breaks apart (1)

وَ اِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ(2)

And when the stars fall, scattering, (2)

وَ اِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ(3)

And when the seas are erupted, (3)

وَ اِذَا الْقُبُوْرُ بُعْثِرَتْ(4)

And when the graves are overturned, (4)

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَ اَخَّرَتْﭤ(5)

A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. (5)

یٰۤاَیُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِیْمِ(6)

O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, (6)

الَّذِیْ خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّٰىكَ فَعَدَلَكَ(7)

Who created you and proportioned you and balanced you? (7)

فِیْۤ اَیِّ صُوْرَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَﭤ(8)

In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. (8)

كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِالدِّیْنِ(9)

No! But you deny the Recompense. (9)

وَ اِنَّ عَلَیْكُمْ لَحٰفِظِیْنَ(10)

And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, (10)

كِرَامًا كَاتِبِیْنَ(11)

Noble recorders (11)

یَعْلَمُوْنَ مَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ(12)

Who know what you do. (12)

اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ لَفِیْ نَعِیْمٍ(13)

Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, (13)

وَ اِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِیْ جَحِیْمٍ(14)

And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire, (14)

یَّصْلَوْنَهَا یَوْمَ الدِّیْنِ(15)

They will [enter and] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, (15)

وَ مَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآىٕبِیْنَﭤ(16)

And never will they depart from it. (16)

وَ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا یَوْمُ الدِّیْنِ(17)

And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? (17)

ثُمَّ مَاۤ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا یَوْمُ الدِّیْنِﭤ(18)

Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? (18)

یَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَیْــٴًـاؕ-وَ الْاَمْرُ یَوْمَىٕذٍ لِّلّٰهِ(19)

The Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] anything; and the decision, that Day, is [only] with Allah. (19)
