Surah Alam Nashrah With English Translations

اَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ(1)

Did We not expand for you your breast, [O Muhammad] - (1)

وَ وَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ(2)

And remove from you your burden (2)

الَّذِیْۤ اَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ(3)

Which [had] weighed heavily upon your back (3)

وَ رَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَﭤ(4)

And raised high for you your repute? (4)

فَاِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ یُسْرًا(5)

For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. (5)

اِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ یُسْرًاﭤ(6)

Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. (6)

فَاِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْ(7)

So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]. (7)

وَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ(8)

And to your Lord direct [your] longing. (8)
