Surah Ar Rahman With English Translations

اَلرَّحْمٰنُ(1)

The Most Compassionate (1)

عَلَّمَ الْقُرْاٰنَﭤ(2)

Taught the Qur'an. (2)

خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَ(3)

Created man. (3)

عَلَّمَهُ الْبَیَانَ(4)

Taught him eloquence. (4)

اَلشَّمْسُ وَ الْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ(5)

The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, (5)

وَّ النَّجْمُ وَ الشَّجَرُ یَسْجُدٰنِ(6)

And the stars and the trees prostrate. (6)

وَ السَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَ وَضَعَ الْمِیْزَانَ(7)

And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance (7)

اَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِی الْمِیْزَانِ(8)

That you not transgress within the balance. (8)

وَ اَقِیْمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَ لَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِیْزَانَ(9)

And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. (9)

وَ الْاَرْضَ وَ ضَعَهَا لِلْاَنَامِ(10)

And the earth He laid out for the creatures. (10)

فِیْهَا فَاكِهَةٌ ﭪ--وَّ النَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْاَكْمَامِ(11)

In it are fruit and palm trees having sheathed fruit. (11)

وَ الْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَ الرَّیْحَانُ(12)

And grain having husks and fragrant plants. (12)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(13)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (13)

خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ(14)

He created man from clay like pottery (14)

وَ خَلَقَ الْجَآنَّ مِنْ مَّارِجٍ مِّنْ نَّارٍۚ (15)

And created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. (15)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(16)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (16)

رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَیْنِ وَ رَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَیْنِ(17)

[He is] the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. (17)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(18)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (18)

مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَیْنِ یَلْتَقِیٰنِ(19)

He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; (19)

بَیْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا یَبْغِیٰنِ(20)

Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. (20)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(21)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (21)

یَخْرُ جُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَ الْمَرْجَانُ(22)

From both of them emerge pearl and coral. (22)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(23)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (23)

وَ لَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَــٴٰـتُ فِی الْبَحْرِ كَالْاَعْلَامِ(24)

And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. (24)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(25)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (25)

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَیْهَا فَانٍ(26)

Everyone upon the earth will perish, (26)

وَّ یَبْقٰى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلٰلِ وَ الْاِكْرَامِ(27)

And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. (27)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(28)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (28)

یَسْــٴَـلُهٗ مَنْ فِی السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِؕ-كُلَّ یَوْمٍ هُوَ فِیْ شَاْنٍ(29)

Whoever is within the heavens and the earth asks of Him; every day He is engaged in [some] matter. (29)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(30)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (30)

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ اَیُّهَ الثَّقَلٰنِ(31)

We will attend to you, O prominent beings [among mankind and jinn]. (31)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(32)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (32)

یٰمَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَ الْاِنْسِ اِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ اَنْ تَنْفُذُوْا مِنْ اَقْطَارِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوْاؕ-لَا تَنْفُذُوْنَ اِلَّا بِسُلْطٰنٍ(33)

O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah]. (33)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(34)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (34)

یُرْسَلُ عَلَیْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّنْ نَّارٍ ﳔ وَّ نُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرٰنِ(35)

There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and molten brass, and you will not be aided. (35)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(36)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (36)

فَاِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ(37)

And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil. (37)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(38)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (38)

فَیَوْمَىٕذٍ لَّا یُسْــٴَـلُ عَنْ ذَنْۢبِهٖۤ اِنْسٌ وَّ لَا جَآنٌّ(39)

So on that Day no man or jinn will be asked about his sin. (39)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(40)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (40)

یُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ بِسِیْمٰىهُمْ فَیُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِیْ وَ الْاَقْدَامِ(41)

The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet. (41)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(42)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (42)

هٰذِهٖ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِیْ یُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ(43)

This is Hell which the criminals deny. (43)

یَطُوْفُوْنَ بَیْنَهَا وَ بَیْنَ حَمِیْمٍ اٰنٍ(44)

They will go around between it and scalding water, boiling. (44)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(45)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (45)

وَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ جَنَّتٰنِ(46)

But for he who fears the standing before his Lord are two gardens. (46)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(47)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (47)

ذَوَاتَاۤ اَفْنَانٍ(48)

Having branches. (48)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(49)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (49)

فِیْهِمَا عَیْنٰنِ تَجْرِیٰنِ(50)

In both of them are two springs, flowing. (50)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(51)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (51)

فِیْهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجٰنِ(52)

In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds. (52)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(53)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (53)

مُتَّكِـٕیْنَ عَلٰى فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآىٕنُهَا مِنْ اِسْتَبْرَقٍؕ-وَ جَنَا الْجَنَّتَیْنِ دَانٍ(54)

Reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens will be hanging low. (54)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(55)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (55)

فِیْهِنَّ قٰصِرٰتُ الطَّرْفِۙ-لَمْ یَطْمِثْهُنَّ اِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَ لَا جَآنٌّ(56)

In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinn. (56)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(57)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (57)

كَاَنَّهُنَّ الْیَاقُوْتُ وَ الْمَرْجَانُ(58)

As if they were rubies and coral. (58)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(59)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (59)

هَلْ جَزَآءُ الْاِحْسَانِ اِلَّا الْاِحْسَانُ(60)

Is the reward for good [anything] but good? (60)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(61)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (61)

وَ مِنْ دُوْنِهِمَا جَنَّتٰنِ(62)

And below them [in status] are two [other] gardens. (62)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(63)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (63)

مُدْهَآ مَّتٰنِ(64)

Dark green [in color]. (64)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(65)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (65)

فِیْهِمَا عَیْنٰنِ نَضَّاخَتٰنِ(66)

In both of them are two springs, spouting. (66)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(67)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (67)

فِیْهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّ نَخْلٌ وَّ رُمَّانٌ(68)

In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. (68)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(69)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (69)

فِیْهِنَّ خَیْرٰتٌ حِسَانٌ(70)

In them are good and beautiful [wives]. (70)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(71)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (71)

حُوْرٌ مَّقْصُوْرٰتٌ فِی الْخِیَامِ(72)

Houris restrained in pavilions. (72)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(73)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (73)

لَمْ یَطْمِثْهُنَّ اِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَ لَا جَآنٌّ(74)

Untouched before them by man or jinn. (74)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(75)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (75)

مُتَّكِـٕیْنَ عَلٰى رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَّ عَبْقَرِیٍّ حِسَانٍ(76)

Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets. (76)

فَبِاَیِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ(77)

So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? (77)

تَبٰرَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِی الْجَلٰلِ وَ الْاِكْرَامِ(78)

Blessed be the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. (78)
