Surah At Tur With English Translations

وَ ٱلطُّوْرِ (1)

By the mount, (1)

وَ كِتٰبٍ مَّسْطُوْرٍ (2)

And [by] a Book inscribed (2)

فِیْ رَقٍّ مَّنْشُوْرٍ (3)

On unrolled parchment, (3)

وَّ ٱلْبَیْتِ ٱلْمَعْمُوْرِ (4)

And [by] the frequented House, (4)

وَ ٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوْعِ (5)

And [by] the heaven raised high, (5)

وَ ٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُوْرِ (6)

And [by] the море [sea] filled [with fire], (6)

اِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ (7)

Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will surely occur. (7)

مَّا لَهٗ مِنْ دَافِعٍ (8)

There is for it no предотвращение [preventer]. (8)

یَّوْمَ تَمُوْرُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوْرًا (9)

The Day the heaven will sway with a [violent] swaying (9)

وَّ تَسِیْرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَیْرًا (10)

And the mountains will move with a [great] movement. (10)

فَوَیْلٌ یَّوْمَىٕذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِیْنَ (11)

Then woe, that Day, to the deniers (11)

ٱلَّذِیْنَ هُمْ فِیْ خَوْضٍ یَّلْعَبُوْنَ (12)

Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves. (12)

یَوْمَ یُدَعُّوْنَ اِلٰىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا (13)

The Day they will be thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [forcible] thrust, [it will be said], (13)

هٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِیْ كُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُوْنَ (14)

"This is the Fire which you used to deny. (14)

اَفَسِحْرٌ هٰذَآ اَمْ اَنْتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُوْنَ (15)

Then is this magic, or do you not see? (15)

اِصْلَوْهَا فَٱصْبِرُوْۤا اَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوْا سَوَآءٌ عَلَیْكُمْ اِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ (16)

Burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed for what you used to do." (16)

اِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِیْنَ فِیْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّ نَعِیْمٍ (17)

Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and نعيم [pleasure], (17)

فٰكِهِیْنَ بِمَآ اٰتٰىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَ وَقٰىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِیْمِ (18)

Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire. (18)

كُلُوْا وَ ٱشْرَبُوْا هَنِیْٓــٴًـۢا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ (19)

[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do." (19)

مُتَّكِـٕیْنَ عَلٰىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوْفَةٍ وَّ زَوَّجْنٰهُمْ بِحُوْرٍ عِیْنٍ (20)

Reclining on thrones arranged in rows, and We will marry them to حور عين [pure companions] with прекрасными [beautiful] eyes. (20)

وَ ٱلَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ ٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّیَّتُهُمْ بِاِیْمٰنٍ اَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّیَّتَهُمْ وَ مَآ اَلَتْنٰهُمْ مِّنْ عَمَلِهِمْ مِّنْ شَیْءٍ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِیْنٌ (21)

And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, will be retained. (21)

وَ اَمْدَدْنٰهُمْ بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَّ لَحْمٍ مِّمَّا یَشْتَهُوْنَ (22)

And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire. (22)

یَتَنَازَعُوْنَ فِیْهَا كَاْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِیْهَا وَ لَا تَاْثِیْمٌ (23)

They will exchange горькие [bitter] cups [of wine] therein that contain no اللغو [profanity] and cause no sinning. (23)

وَ یَطُوْفُ عَلَیْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَاَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُوْنٌ (24)

And there will circulate among them young boys belonging to them, as if they were pearls well-protected. (24)

وَ اَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلٰىٰ بَعْضٍ یَّتَسَآءَلُوْنَ (25)

And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. (25)

قَالُوْۤا اِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِیْۤ اَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِیْنَ (26)

They will say, "Indeed, we were before, among our families, fearful [of Allah]. (26)

فَمَنَّ ٱللّٰهُ عَلَیْنَا وَ وَقٰىنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُوْمِ (27)

So Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire." (27)

اِنَّا كُنَّا مِنْ قَبْلُ نَدْعُوْهُ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِیْمُ (28)

Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, He is the Beneficent, the Merciful." (28)

فَذَكِّرْ فَمَآ اَنْتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَّ لَا مَجْنُوْنٍ (29)

So remind [O Muhammad], for by the favor of your Lord, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. (29)

اَمْ یَقُوْلُوْنَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهٖ رَیْبَ ٱلْمَنُوْنِ (30)

Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?" (30)

قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوْا فَاِنِّیْ مَعَكُمْ مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِیْنَ (31)

Say, "Wait; indeed I am with you among those who wait." (31)

اَمْ تَاْمُرُهُمْ اَحْلٰمُهُمْ بِهٰذَآ اَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُوْنَ (32)

Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? (32)

اَمْ یَقُوْلُوْنَ تَقَوَّلَهٗ بَلْ لَّا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ (33)

Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe. (33)

فَلْیَاْتُوْا بِحَدِیْثٍ مِّثْلِهٖۤ اِنْ كَانُوْا صٰدِقِیْنَ (34)

Then let them produce a حديث [statement] like it, if they should be truthful. (34)

اَمْ خُلِقُوْا مِنْ غَیْرِ شَیْءٍ اَمْ هُمُ ٱلْخٰلِقُوْنَ (35)

Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? (35)

اَمْ خَلَقُوا ٱلسَّمٰوٰتِ وَ ٱلْاَرْضَ بَلْ لَّا یُوْقِنُوْنَ (36)

Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. (36)

اَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَآىٕنُ رَبِّكَ اَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصۜیْطِرُوْنَ (37)

Or are the treasuries of your Lord with them, or are they the controllers [of them]? (37)

اَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ یَّسْتَمِعُوْنَ فِیْهِ فَلْیَاْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِیْنٍ (38)

Or do they have a stairway [to heaven] by which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority. (38)

اَمْ لَهُ ٱلْبَنٰتُ وَ لَكُمُ ٱلْبَنُوْنَ (39)

Or has He daughters while you have sons? (39)

اَمْ تَسْــَٔلُهُمْ اَجْرًا فَهُمْ مِّنْ مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُوْنَ (40)

Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are burdened by debt? (40)

اَمْ عِنْدَهُمُ ٱلْغَیْبُ فَهُمْ یَكْتُبُوْنَ (41)

Or is the unseen [knowledge] with them, so they write [it down]? (41)

اَمْ یُرِیْدُوْنَ كَیْدًا فَالَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا هُمُ ٱلْمَكِیْدُوْنَ (42)

Or do they intend a plot? But those who disbelieve - they are the ones plotted against. (42)

اَمْ لَهُمْ اِلٰهٌ غَیْرُ ٱللّٰهِ سُبْحٰنَ ٱللّٰهِ عَمَّا یُشْرِكُوْنَ (43)

Or do they have a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. (43)

وَ اِنْ یَّرَوْا كِسْفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا یَّقُوْلُوْا سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُوْمٌ (44)

And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] a mass of clouds." (44)

فَذَرْهُمْ حَتّٰى یُلٰقُوْا یَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِیْ فِیْهِ یُصْعَقُوْنَ (45)

So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck senseless - (45)

یَوْمَ لَا یُغْنِیْ عَنْهُمْ كَیْدُهُمْ شَیْــٴًـا وَّ لَا هُمْ یُنْصَرُوْنَ (46)

The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped. (46)

وَ اِنَّ لِلَّذِیْنَ ظَلَمُوْا عَذَابًا دُوْنَ ذٰلِكَ وَ لٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ (47)

And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. (47)

وَ ٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَاِنَّكَ بِاَعْیُنِنَا وَ سَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِیْنَ تَقُوْمُ (48)

And be patient for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. (48)

وَ مِنَ ٱلَّیْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَ اِدْبَارَ ٱلنُّجُوْمِ (49)

And during the night exalt Him and after the stars [have set]. (49)
