Play Audio And Listen Surah Al Anbiya

[The time of] their account has drawn near to the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away. (1)

No reminder comes to them anew from their Lord except that they listen to it while they are at play, (2)

With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], "Is this [Muhammad] but a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware?" (3)

Said [the Prophet], "My Lord knows every word [spoken] in the heaven and the earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing." (4)

But they say, "[His revelations are but] tangles of dreams," or, "He has invented it," or, "He is [but] a poet." [Let him then] bring us a sign just as the former [messengers] were sent [with miracles]. (5)

Not a [single] city believed before them which We destroyed; so will they believe? (6)

And We sent not before you [as messengers] except men to whom We revealed [Our message]. So ask the people of the message if you do not know. (7)

And We did not make them [as messengers] bodies that did not eat food, nor were they immortal [on earth]. (8)

Then We fulfilled for them the promise, and We saved them and whom We willed and destroyed the transgressors. (9)

We have certainly sent down to you a Book in which is your mention. Then will you not reason? (10)

And how many a city which was unjust have We shattered and produced after it another people. (11)

And when they sensed Our punishment, at once they [tried to] flee from it. (12)

[It was said], "Do not flee but return to that in which you were given luxury and to your homes that you may be questioned." (13)

They said, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers." (14)

And that cry of theirs ceased not until We made them [as] a harvest, extinguished [like a fire]. (15)

And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them in play. (16)

Had We intended to take a diversion, We would have taken it from Our [very] presence - if We were to do so. (17)

Rather, We hurl the truth against falsehood, and it knocks it out, and thereupon it becomes abolished. And woe to you for what you describe. (18)

And to Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those near Him are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, nor do they tire [of it]. (19)

They exalt [Him] night and day [and] do not slacken. (20)

Or have they taken gods from the earth who can resurrect [the dead]? (21)

Had there been within the heavens and earth gods besides Allah, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe. (22)

He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned. (23)

Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, "Produce your proof. This [Qur'an] is the message for those with me and the message for those before me." But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away. (24)

And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me." (25)

And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, they are [but] honored servants. (26)

They do not precede Him in speech, and they act according to His command. (27)

He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they do not intercede except for him with whom He is pleased, and they are apprehensive from fear of Him. (28)

And whoever of them says, "Indeed, I am a god besides Him" - that one We will recompense with Hell. Thus We recompense the wrongdoers. (29)

Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? (30)

And We placed within the earth firm mountains lest it should move with them, and We made therein passes [as] roads that they might be guided. (31)

And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away. (32)

And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming. (33)

And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]. So if you die, will they be eternal? (34)

Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned. (35)

And when those who disbelieve see you, they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one who mentions your gods?" And they are, at the mention of the Most Merciful, disbelievers. (36)

Man was created of haste. I will show you My signs, so do not impatiently urge Me. (37)

And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" (38)

If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs, and they will not be aided. (39)

Rather, it will come to them suddenly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved. (40)

And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule. (41)

Say, "Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?" But they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord. (42)

Or have they gods besides Us who can protect them? They cannot [even] help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us. (43)

But We have given enjoyment to these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life grew long for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? So are they the ones who will overcome? (44)

Say, "I only warn you through revelation." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned. (45)

And if a breath of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers." (46)

And We will place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient is We as accountant. (47)

And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion [of right and wrong] and a light and a reminder for the righteous, (48)

Those who fear their Lord in the unseen, and they are apprehensive of the Hour. (49)

And this [Qur'an] is a blessed message which We have sent down. Then are you denying it? (50)

And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgment before, and We were of him knowing. (51)

[Mention] when he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?" (52)

They said, "We found our fathers worshippers of them." (53)

He said, "You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error." (54)

They said, "Have you come to us with the truth, or are you of those who jest?" (55)

He said, "[No], but your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify. (56)

And [I swear] by Allah, I will surely plot against your idols after you have turned and gone away." (57)

So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question it]. (58)

They said, "Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers." (59)

They said, "We heard a young man mention them; he is called Abraham." (60)

They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify." (61)

They said, "O Abraham, is it you who did this to our gods?" (62)

He said, "Rather, this - their eldest - did it, so ask them, if they can speak." (63)

So they returned to themselves and said, "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers." (64)

Then they relapsed [to their old reasoning, saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!" (65)

He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allah that which does not benefit you at all or harm you? (66)

Fie upon you and upon what you worship instead of Allah. Then will you not use reason?" (67)

They said, "Burn him and support your gods, if you are to do [anything]." (68)

We said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham." (69)

And they intended for him harm, but We made them the greatest losers. (70)

And We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds. (71)

And We granted him Isaac and Jacob as an extra [gift], and all of them We made righteous. (72)

And We made them leaders guiding by Our command. And We inspired to them the doing of good deeds, establishment of prayer, and giving of zakah; and they were worshippers of Us. (73)

And [We aided] Lot, and We gave him judgment and knowledge and saved him from the city that was committing wicked deeds. Indeed, they were a people of evil, defiantly disobedient. (74)

And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was of the righteous. (75)

And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Us] before [these prophets], and We answered him and saved him and his family from the great distress. (76)

And We helped him against the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a people of evil, so We drowned them all. (77)

And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people had grazed therein at night - and We were witness to their judgment. (78)

And We gave understanding of the case to Solomon, and to each [of them] We gave judgment and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Allah] with David and [also] the birds. And We were doing [that]. (79)

And We taught him the fashioning of coats of mail for you to protect you from your [enemy's] violence. So will you then be grateful? (80)

And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind, blowing forcefully, proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And We are ever, of all things, Knowing. (81)

And of the devils were those who dived for him and did work other than that. And We were of them keepers. (82)

And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the most merciful of the merciful." (83)

So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like of them with them, as mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers. (84)

And [mention] Ishmael and Idris and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient. (85)

And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous. (86)

And [mention] the man of the fish, when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] for him. And he called out within the darknesses, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers." (87)

So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers. (88)

And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors." (89)

So We responded to him, and We granted him John, and We amended his wife for him. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive. (90)

And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her [something] of Our spirit and made her and her son a sign for the worlds. (91)

Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me. (92)

But they have divided their affair among themselves, [yet] all will return to Us. (93)

So whoever does righteous deeds while being a believer - there will be no rejection of his effort; and indeed, We will be recorders of it for him. (94)

And it is inadmissible for a city which We have destroyed that they will [ever] return. (95)

[They will not return] until when Gog and Magog are let loose, and they, from every elevation, will descend. (96)

And the true promise has approached; then suddenly the eyes of those who disbelieved will be staring [in horror, saying], "O woe to us! We had been unmindful of this; rather, we were wrongdoers." (97)

Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allah are the fuel for Hell. You will be coming to it. (98)

If those [you worship] had been [true] gods, they would not have entered it [Hell], but all will abide therein eternally. (99)

For them therein is heavy sighing, and therein they will not hear. (100)

Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they will be far removed from it [Hell]. (101)

They will not hear its sound, while they are in that which their souls desire, abiding eternally. (102)

The Greatest Terror will not grieve them, and the angels will receive them, [saying], "This is your Day which you have been promised." (103)

The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet. Just as We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise upon Us; indeed, We will do it. (104)

And We have already written in the Scripture [of David] after the [previous] mention that the land [of Paradise] is inherited by My righteous servants. (105)

Indeed in this [Qur'an] is notification for a people who worship [Allah]. (106)

And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds. (107)

Say, "It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you then be Muslims [in submission to Him]?" (108)

But if they turn away, then say, "I have announced to you on equal terms, and I do not know whether near or far is that which you are promised. (109)

Indeed, He knows what is said aloud and what you conceal. (110)

And I do not know; perhaps it is a trial for you and enjoyment for a time." (111)

[The Prophet] has said, "My Lord, judge with truth." And our Lord is the Most Merciful, the one whose help is sought against that which you describe. (112)
